The ingredients needed to prepare Vanilla Cookies:
- Take maida
- Get butter
- Use icing sugar
- Prepare vanilla essence
- Prepare baking powder
- Use milk to bind
- Prepare red colour
Instructions to make Vanilla Cookies:
- In a bowl add butter and icing sugar and whisk till light and pale in colour. Add vanilla essence and mix it well
- Sieve maida and baking powder. Mix it in butter mixture in two batches,it should be crumbly in texture. Transfer it on a plate and divide into two parts. To one part add red colour and mix it adding a tsp of milk into a smooth dough. Add a tsp of milk to the other half mixture and make a smooth dough
- Make 2 parts of red dough and 2 parts of white dough. Roll each dough into a long roll and cut into small parts. Then take 3 parts of each white and red keep it as shown in the picture join all the parts together and make a ball gently with your palm and press it lightly to form a round cookie and place it in a greased tin with parchment paper
- Put this in a pre heated pan cover and cook for 30 mins or till the sides are light golden. Remove from the pan and cool it completely and store it an airtight container
