The ingredients needed to prepare Temaki-zushi:
  1. Take Short Grain Japanese rice *180ml cups
  2. Prepare Rice Vinegar
  3. Provide Sugar
  4. Prepare Salt 1 teaspoon strong
  5. You need Nori
  6. You need Soy Sauce
  7. You need Wasabi
  8. Provide <Filling Suggestions>
  9. Prepare Sashimi (raw fresh fish), Smoked Salmon, Cooked Prawns,
  10. Use Eel Kabayaki, Canned Tuna mixed with Japanese Mayonnaise
  11. Use Tuna Sashimi & Spring Onion (*finely chopped and mixed)
  12. Get Salmon Roe, Teriyaki Chicken, Tonkatsu (pork cutlet), Ham
  13. Prepare Yakitori & Yakiniku, Omelet
  14. Provide Cucumber, Avocado, Radish Sprout, Lettuce, Shiso (perilla)
  15. Take Carrot (*cooked in salted water or sliced into thin strips)
  16. Use Japanese Pickles (radish, ginger, cucumber, etc.)
  17. Provide Umeboshi, Natto
Instructions to make Temaki-zushi:
  1. Cook Sushi Rice. See my 'Sushi Rice' recipe.
  2. Place Nori sheet on a plate, then spread small amount of Sushi Rice thinly, place some fillings on top the rice and roll up by hands and eat. Some people may wish to have some dipping Soy Sauce and Wasabi. Serve with hot Clear Soup (and cold wine!!!)
  3. There is no rule. Be creative and enjoy.
