The ingredients needed to prepare Pasta Smorgasbord:
  1. You need 1 pound lean ground beef
  2. You need 1 medium onion, chopped
  3. Use 1-28 ounce can diced tomatoes
  4. Prepare 1/2 can tomato paste
  5. You need 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  6. You need 1 cup beef broth
  7. Get 1/2 tsp basil
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp oregano
  9. Prepare 2 cups green beans, cut into bite size pieces

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Transfer meat mixture to a large, covered saucepan.
  2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, beef broth, basil, oregano, green beans, red pepper and jalapeno pepper. Cover and simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes or until green beans and peppers are tender.
  3. Cook preferred pasta as per package directions. Shortly before serving, add approximately 6 cups of the cooked pasta and heat through.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
